2 Pieces Antique Sales Literature for Expanded Metal for Concrete Work (1909)
The first piece of literature is a small, 32-page booklet from the Northwestern Expanded Metal Co., Chicago, Illinois. It is entitlted "Beam and Column Data". The book was printed in 1909, and is in great shape, other than a small pencil mark on the bottom left-hand corner of the cover. The inside of the book provides drawings and tables for the various concrete work. This company had factories in Chicago and Canton, Ohio.
The second piece of literature is an 8-page booklet that measures 9x6, and is red and black ink printed on white paper. There is a slight pencil mark on the top right-hand corner of the cover. The title is "The General Fireproofing Co., Youngstown, Ohio" "Diamond Mesh Expanded Metal Reinforcement". It has several pages of expanded metal slab tables, as well as some very vivid black and white photos of them being used to build Colorado's Jackson Lake Reservoir dam, the House of Representatives Office Building in Washington, DC, and a concrete sewer.
These pieces of sales literature are in very good shape for their age, and would make a great addition to any sales literature collection.
