This is a 1998 Milltronics Centurion 6 3-Axis mill. It has a 3 HP motor. The spindle is NMTB30. The Kurt power drawbar is included. It is much stronger and more rigid than a Bridgeport. It has boxed ways. The head pivots left/right, but not front to rear. That increases rigidity. It weighs 1,000 lbs. more than a Bridgeport. It can receive DNC (drip feed) from another computer, run from the included floppy drive or can be programmed with the excellent conversational software. The software is easier to use than Prototrac. Also, it can be ran in 2-Axis or 3-Axis mode. It has lots of canned cycles built in, including thread mill, engraving, area clear, peck drill and pocket milling. It weighs approximately 3,500 lbs. The head is bolted to a large casting. The casting rides on linear slides which is controlled by the Z-Axis servo motor. It is a very robust, rigid system. The large casting is the reason that the head does not pivot front/rear. The Z-Axis servo, and the X and Y axis servos, can be controlled by the handwheel. The increments are user selectable. (example: one click = .0001" or .005") You determine the rate. The click movement intervals can be switched on the fly with 14 presets. I've just added another picture to help clarify the system.
The last four pictures are parts that I've made on this mill. They are not included in the auction. They are shown here to demonstrate the capabilities of the mill and specifically the 3-Axis capability.
I have lots more tooling than could be purchased with the mill, at additional cost (Kurt vise, three phase converter, solid tooling, collet set, face mill and 30X36 surface plate). I'll gladly make a package deal. Feel free to send an email with questions or pictures of the additional tooling.
Axis Travel:
X = 32"
Y = 15"
Z = 4.5" Servo (Plus 5" quill travel)
I have no way of putting the mill onto your truck and trailer. The buyer is responsible for shipping. Payment methods accepted are cashier's check or certified check.
